Carrying the theme “Empowering Lab Excellence: Tackling Antimicrobial Resistance & Accelerating Diagnostics for a Healthier Future,” the event served as an important forum to address global challenges related to antimicrobial resistance (AMR).

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) has become a critical global health issue that requires cross-sector collaboration. Through this event, doctors and professors were encouraged to strengthen the role of laboratories in delivering fast, accurate, and technology-driven diagnostics.

The event featured distinguished speakers from leading institutions, including:

  • Prof. dr. Anis Karuniawati, PhD., Sp.MK(K) (FKUI – RSUPN Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo)

  • dr. Robert Sinto, Sp.PD, K-PT (RSUPN Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo)
  • Harry Qin (Product Manager, Autobio)

A range of strategic topics were discussed, including laboratory collaboration in AMR control, the latest trends in antimicrobial susceptibility testing, and the integration of diagnostic results into clinical practice to optimize antimicrobial therapy. In addition, technological innovations in microbiology laboratories were highlighted as key drivers in improving the quality of healthcare services.

The discussion was moderated by Dr. dr. Andaru Dahesih Dewi, M.Kes, Sp.PK(K) from FK-KMK UGM – RSUP Dr. Sardjito, ensuring an engaging and practical session.
