As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance air quality surveillance and control, the DKI Jakarta Environmental Agency (DLH DKI Jakarta) has carried out the installation of Safegas air quality monitoring systems at eight strategic locations. This project was implemented by PT. Era Mitra Perdana as the provider and installer of the air monitoring system. The initiative aims to generate accurate, real-time, and continuous air quality data to support data-driven environmental policies.
The installation of Safegas air quality monitoring systems was conducted at locations representing residential areas, educational facilities, and public green spaces. The eight installation sites include:
- Rusun Rorotan
- Taman Sungai Kendal
- SDN 05 Cakung Timur
- SMKN 04 Jakarta
- Metland Cakung Residential Area
- Taman RW 009
- JGC Shinano
- SDN 03 Rorotan
These locations were selected based on population activity density and the need for air quality monitoring in sensitive environments, particularly around schools and residential areas.
The installed Safegas air quality monitoring systems are capable of measuring various air quality parameters, including pollutant gases and surrounding environmental conditions. Equipped with reliable sensor technology and a digital-based monitoring system, the generated data can be accessed promptly for analysis and evaluation purposes. This enables DLH DKI Jakarta to respond more effectively to potential air pollution events.
The installation process was carried out by PT. Era Mitra Perdana in accordance with applicable technical standards, occupational safety requirements, and quality control procedures. All stages of the work were conducted in coordination with local site managers. Each monitoring unit was installed at an optimal position to ensure that the collected data accurately represents ambient air conditions in the surrounding area. Initial testing and verification were also conducted to confirm that all devices were functioning properly prior to full operation.
Through the installation of Safegas air quality monitoring systems at these eight locations, DLH DKI Jakarta, in collaboration with PT. Era Mitra Perdana, demonstrates a strong commitment to protecting environmental quality and public health. The collected data is expected to serve as a foundation for policy-making, increased public awareness, and more effective mitigation measures in addressing air pollution challenges across the DKI Jakarta region.
