The USB Series comprises USB2000+ and USB4000 models. The models are available in custom configured and preconfigured options. OEM configurations are also available.

STS Series

Life sciences, materials identification, environmental monitoring, quality control and process monitoring are among some of the applications where the STS has played its role of a powerful performer in a small footprint. The STS delivers optical resolution, sensitivity and stability associated with larger, more expensive spectrometers.

Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS)

High-resolution Spectrometers for Modular LIBS Systems

Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS)LIBS is a powerful technique for rapid, real-time elemental analysis of a wide range of materials, from metal and gemological samples to chemical and biological agents. With LIBS, there is virtually no sample preparation necessary and detection sensitivity is possible to parts-per-million and parts-per-picogram levels. Systems can be configured for spectral analysis across all or part of the 200-980 nm range, with optical resolution of ~0.1 nm (FWHM).

Ocean Optics provides a set of modular tools for building customized LIBS systems. At the heart of this approach is our high-resolution HR2000+ optical bench and electronics, which can be configured with up to seven spectrometer channels as part of a LIBS2500plus system. To complete a basic setup, add a 200 mJ or 50 mJ laser to excite the sample and generate the plasma and one of our multi-fiber bundles to sample the plasma and connect to the spectrometer channels. An optional software package such as SpecLine is useful for identifying atomic emission lines and molecular bands in spectral data.


IDRaman miniRaman spectroscopy is a powerful technique that provides information about vibrational and rotational transitions in molecules that can be used for detailed chemical analysis of solids, powders, liquids, and gases. This fast and non-destructive measurement technique can be applied to a wide range of applications including fundamental research, routine process control and materials identification.

The Ocean Optics Raman product line includes high-performance modular Raman systems, laboratory bench-top systems, portable hand-held units, Raman microscopes and miniaturized OEM Raman solutions. Our Raman spectrometers are widely used for Raman measurements in research laboratories and industrial parks around the world.
